Hong-Kong, February 21st.,1898
Adolf Breaner, Seaman, belonging to the Ameri-
can Ship "R. R. Thomas" whereof E. D. Blanchard is master,re-
cently arrived from New York,having absconded at this port
from said "R" R" Thomas", I have the honour respectfully, in
pursuance of the provisions of the terms of the treaty of
June 3rd.,1892, between the U. S. and Great Britain, to request
that you will please cause warrant to be issued for his ar-
rest and imprisonment, and that he be retained subject to
the order of this Consulate.
